Nikkia Carter is the owner and CEO of Carter-McGowan Services, a Microsoft Silver Small and Midmarket Partner and SMB Champion, specializing in business technology consulting, development, and training. Nikkia is a CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer and a Microsoft Certified Professional. She has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, a Master’s in IT Project Management, and industry experience since 2001 in software, web (intranet), Office 365, InfoPath, and SharePoint development. She has past experience working with DoD Navy as a Federal employee, contractor, and consultant. Nikkia serves as a founding leader of MFCF-DC user group (Mobile-First, Cloud-First of DC), is a co-organizer, leadership team lead, and speaker chair for SUGDC (SharePoint User Group), is the WIT DC (Women in Technology) community leader, is the Philanthropy chair for IAMCP DC chapter (International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners), is a member of Microsoft’s VFI (Voices for Innovation), is a member of the FEDSPUG/WSPDC board, is a co-organizer for IT ProCamp DC and Office 365 Ramp-Up Day, as well as serves on the Microsoft WPC, MCC, and IAMCP WIT boards.
