Shouting at SharePoint with the SpeechRecognition JavaScript API

In this breakout session, SharePoint front-end developers will learn how to write JavaScript using the browser’s built-in Speech Recognition API and – just like they do with Alexa and Siri – shout their commands at SharePoint.

When the session is over, we’ll be using our voice to create list items in SharePoint! No more clicking and typing like we used to do. This session will let us explore two big trends in SharePoint – client side development with JavaScript, and using modern browser tools.

Attendees should be familiar with SharePoint lists, using JavaScript, and SharePoint’s client-side REST interface. We’ll be building it in SharePoint Online, but it should apply to 2013 and 2016.
